The Story

Welcome to Umberland Asylum. Forsake the mortal world and its noisome toil, and take shelter in the darkness of these halls; wander freely in the company of whispering curtains and leering relics, and chase the rumour of something yet darker and more dear. In its cloistered walls, there hides a mystery. At its heart, held precious in the briars, it guards a dream: A dream of an immortal paradise where the beauty, innocence, and grace of the golden hours are forever preserved.

About the Author

Kelly Michael Kotulak is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, with a BA honours degree in Visual Communication. Though completing her degree in Scotland, she is widely travelled, having lived and studied throughout America and Britain, and only really feels at home when lost in her work and studies.

Themes of mystery and horror continue to inspire her, along with the study of monsters; whether natural, mythic or psychological. She enjoys web comics as a venue to share stories and worlds.
